Hurjaranta

This is what my free time is currently spent on. Hurjaranta is a long-term personal project and a dream come true. Without previous experience, I've designed everything myself, from the buildings to the interiors, and lead the project end to end.

I recharge best by doing something hands-on: building, fixing, improving. That often means getting my hands dirty, learning new skills, and buying new tools. Occasional build updates on Instagram.

Curious by nature

I'm rarely without my headphones. Audiobooks and podcasts are a constant part of my everyday life. I listen broadly, from classics and detective stories to non-fiction and business content. I have a need to continuously sharpen my thinking and see the world through different characters.

The beauty of everyday life

I value a well-functioning everyday life and invest in making home a place to recharge. While I push myself hard at work and enjoy the intensity, my free time is about appreciating simplicity — usually with my two dachshunds, Raimo and Pentti. Sauna is my reset button and a non-negotiable part of my routine, which is why it was the first building constructed at Hurjaranta.

Weekend fun

Weekends are best with an empty calendar and room for spontaneity. I spend time with friends doing everything from pub quizzes to cooking and cultural events. In the summer, you'll often find me behind the wheel of my 1950s Buick, "Bad".
